| A Mother's Testimony |
| My daughters participated in the track program for a number of years. The program was instrumental in shaping them for their future in many ways. They learned to work hard so that they could be successful. The work-outs were challenging but they prepared them to compete at a high level. They competed against some of the best track teams in the country. They learned the value of teamwork. The age range of the team meant that the older kids were role models for the younger kids. There was a standard you were expected to live by in order to stay on the team. You were accountable to the coaches as well as your teammates. During trips behavior is strictly monitored. To watch the coaches and chaperones manage as many as 70 kids or more gave me great confidence in my child's safety on out of town trips. There is no amount of words that can describe the dedication of the coaching staff. I have watched their lives progress as they continue to stay committed to the program. This cannot be easy for their family life. They spend endless hours coaching. planning, traveling and fundraising. The program is a valuable asset to our community.
