Bria Matthews continues to dominate. Matthews is your 2016 ACC Indoor Champion. 2 TIMES! In the long jump, Matthews leaped to a mark of 20 ft 10 inches, edging out a Florida State senior athlete by 3/4th’s of an inch. She scored another 10 points in the Triple Jump, with a mark of 42 feet and 10 inches. Leading the team to a 10th place overall finish, Matthews accounted for close to 60 percent of Georgia Tech’s total team score. In her first year competing collegiality, Matthew is ranked 7th Nationally in the triple jump, and the number 2 Freshman Triple Jumper in the nation. In the long Jump, Matthews is ranked top 15th. Former QTC standout, and Georgia Tech senior, Jamilah Middlebrooks also competed at the ACC Championships.

Kenneth Fisher can’t be stopped. Competing in his 3rd year for Bethune-Cookman Fisher did well in not just one, not two, but three field events at the 2016 MEAC Championships. Fisher claimed 3rd place in the triple jump, 2nd place in the long jump, and is the 2016 MEAC Conference Champion in the long jump. Fisher’s 24 total points scored were good enough to help secure Bethune-Cookman the 2016 MEAC Conference team title! Former QTC standout, USATF All-American, and North Carolina A&T Freshman Lesheon Strozier took 5th place in the triple Jump

Quicksilver Track Club’s Head Coach remains awesome. For his overall awesomeness in youth Track & Field, Coach Foster received the 2015 National Youth Chair’s Award. This is awarded to individuals that are recognized for their outstanding contributions to Youth Track & Field and Cross Country Programs across the United States.
